The Photo Prize submissions deadline has passed, and we are blown away with the amount of submissions we’ve received - thanks to everybody that has sent us their awesome prints!!
Now we’ll begin the sorting and pre-judging process in preperation for the exhibition, but while we do that, we thought it a good time to drop the second (and last) submissions-based element of the Independent Photography Festival on y’all.
This is a callout to any and all PHOTO ZINE & PHOTO BOOK makers, distros, publishers, and shops - we want your wares!!
We’re looking to bring together the enormous and diverse spectrum of photo publications, from high-end, perfect bound coffee table books to £2 B/W, saddle-stitched zines, and everything in between for two days of appreciation of photography’s application to printed matter and publication.
The Independent Photography Festival 2012 Photo Book & Zine Fair, co-presented by Hard Workers Shop and Parts & Crafts Auto Zine, will be held at The Workers Club, Fitzroy on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April 2012 and will be the last main event before the festival closes.
PLEASE NOTE : Submissions must be photo-related.
We won’t be accepting or displaying any publications that are unrelated to photography, and we are looking for titles that are predominantly image-based as opposed to text/copy-heavy publications. The Photo Book & Zine Fair will have titles from some of the dopest Photo Book & Zine publishers and distros, such as:
HAMBURGER EYES / IZROCK PRESSINGS / SMALLTIME BOOKS / SERPS PRESS / RAYNER BOOKS / WELCOME STRANGER / POGO BOOKS / SMALLHOUSE BOOKS / MOTTO DISTRIBUTION / HARD WORKERS PRESS / HOLY GHOST ZINE / BLOOD OF THE YOUNG ZINE / HARD WORKERS SHOP / CAFE ROYAL BOOKS / NO THOUGHTS / WE ARE LUCKY / PERIMETER BOOKS / NO FUN PRESS / THE VELVET CELL / UNPIANO BOOKS / MAKING ENDS
as well as independently published titles from photographers and creatives around the world.
Black Coffee will be in house on both days offering their unique ‘no milk, no sugar, no espresso, no bullshit’ black, brewed coffee to the zine-hungry, coffee-thirsty enthusiasts.
There are some Terms and Guidelines to be read by anyone wanting to be represented, but get printing and packing - we want your titles!
Distros/Publishers: If you would like to represent yourself on one of our few remaining tables, please contact us at ipf@hardworkersclub.com to discuss this.
